Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-16 · Version 0.1 (draft)
Draft. These terms have been written by the operator of thesignals as a good-faith starting point and have not yet been reviewed by counsel. Treat them as a transparent record of the operator's intent, not a finalised legal contract. Final terms will be published before the product is opened to paying customers. If you are a lawyer reviewing this for engagement, please reach out via /about.

1. What thesignals is

thesignals (the "Service") is a research product operated by thesignals labs, inc. (the "Company"). The Service collects, organises, and presents the outputs of third-party large language models in response to a fixed corpus of finance-related questions. It surfaces the aggregate, the drift, and the disagreement between those models over time.

thesignals does not provide investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or legal advice. Nothing on the Service — including but not limited to consensus rankings, "Prophecy Scores", drift signals, fracture alerts, or any output of the underlying AI models — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, cryptocurrency, derivative, or other financial instrument. See Disclosures for the full statement.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is offered worldwide where lawful; you are responsible for ensuring use of the Service is permitted where you live.

The Service is intended for individual research and curiosity. If you are using it on behalf of a firm, you represent that you are authorised to bind that firm to these terms.

3. Your account

You agree to keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, contact us immediately (see About).

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (currently Basic and Pro) renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Pricing is shown on the home page and may change with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.

Refunds are issued at the Company's discretion. We do not pro-rate partial-period cancellations unless required by your local law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Third-party content

The Service queries third-party AI models (the "Model Providers") on your behalf. The text those models return is the work of the Model Provider; thesignals indexes, summarises, and presents it but does not own it. We try to comply with the Model Providers' terms; you must do the same when using outputs we surface.

7. Intellectual property

thesignals retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its corpus, scoring methodology, and any aggregate data we produce. You retain rights to any content you author within the Service (notes, saved questions). You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and process that content to operate the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. Model outputs can be wrong, contradictory, or misleading. Past consensus does not predict future markets.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, thesignals labs, inc., its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including investment losses, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.

11. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of New Castle County, Delaware, except where binding arbitration is required by law.

12. Contact
